From Start to Finish
T. Rowe Price teamed up with CallisonRTKL to consolidate a data center, replace old mechanical and electrical equipment and migrate an existing hall to chilled water cooling distribution.
CRTKL provided mechanical and electrical design services to replace older units, static switches and build a new busway power management system. Master planning was imperative for planning long-term configuration of the data hall, load analysis, capacity planning and ramp-up services. The mechanical design services CRTKL provided were for the replacement of direct expansion, split system cooling units with a combination of chilled water in-row and underfloor plenum cooling units to serve new high-density pods with containment systems.
All work was coordinated, phased and installed in a live data center to help with the implementation process. CallisonRTKL contributed technical oversight, management and direction for the entire duration of the project programming, design, installation and commissioning.
