Saudi British Bank Head Office
As designer for Saudi Arabia British Bank’s new headquarters in Riyadh, CallisonRTKL was challenged to create a sophisticated and inviting, yet secure, space for the bank’s 2,800 employees, as well as customers and visitors.
The 34,399-SM office, with 7,000 SF of retail space, is thoughtfully laid out to meet the bank’s goals. The building is responsive to the hot desert climate and incorporates geometric patterns of desert sand dunes. The wraparound on the building’s façade acts as a security barrier and sun shield. The team prioritized natural light in the layout while avoiding the harsh glare of direct sunlight. This modern, forward-thinking, mixed-use space is a true destination for local investors.
