Inspired by traditional notions of space and material coupled with modern ingenuity and a sense of drama, Fuzhou Thaihot Plaza is on track to enhance the city’s rich cultural legacy and become a paradigm for urban renewal.
The design adheres to the rules of feng shui and merges Fuzhou’s distinctive southern Chinese culture with a mixed-use development that meets the needs of a modern lifestyle. A five-star hotel, 51,000 square meters of contemporary office space, dining and public space are integrated and connected via shared social spaces and sky bridges while maintaining connectivity to nature. The entire site plan is organized around a hidden garden fronting an existing stream, while an oversized canopy and water feature connects the development to the rest of the city.
