The relocation of Hangzhou’s new central business district to Qianjiang New City has transformed this well-known Chinese resort into one of China’s most dynamic, emerging cities. Developed in partnership by two of China’s largest developers, The MixC is the retail mixed-use hub for the district. Anchored by a nine-level retail podium, The MixC retains the resort-like quality of Hangzhou. Wave-like facades and interior walkways represent the symbolic flow of the nearby Qiantang River. High-end restaurants and a rooftop park draw visitors to the upper levels. The roof affords panoramic views of the river and provides an aesthetically pleasing landscape that connects the residential, hotel and office towers.
