Van Don SAEZ and AirCity Free Trade Zone

Van Don is a 2,200 square kilometer Strategic Administrative Economic Zone (SAEZ) in northern Vietnam, with over 43,000 hectares of developable land spread over 30 islands and across the Elephant River Valley to the mainland.The new Van Don International Airport is completing construction and has the capacity to handle 20 million passengers per year and expansion to 40 million passengers per year 2050+.

Surrounding the Airport, is the AIRcity Free Trade Zone (FTZ), 3,400 hectares of developable land on Cai Bau Island, includes high tech industry 4.0 parks, airport-dependent businesses and dry logistics, airport-related services, Innovative and Creative Technologies (ICT), and advanced manufacturing, fishing port, fish and food cold storage, processing and logistics, higher education and training institutes, supporting service industries, expo center, duty free retail and entertainment, health care, and residential communities to attract and retain knowledge workers in a high quality, live-work-play-learn environment.

The FTZ will be connected to the mainland by bridges to the southwest, west and north of airport, new national and provincial roadways, future light rail transit and high-speed passenger with an intermodal hub at the airport. A seaplane port, round-the-island tour boat and ferry system connect AIRCity to the islands of the Van Hai Archipelago.
