Marathon Oil

As part of Marathon Oil’s effort to use a former industrial site for the benefit of the community, CallisonRTKL and Arcadis conducted extensive research into site context, existing conditions, community needs and jurisdictional procedures to understand the potential for future development. The team studied the impact of specific types of contamination to come up with strategies complementary to remediation efforts that could be integrated into plan alternatives. This, paired with a strong community interest in a new composting center, led to a functional, innovative layout for a productive landscape. The client also received a series of divestment strategies and associated values as part of the study.
