Liberty Center South, Secure Government Office

As the first component to be constructed in the Liberty Center transit-oriented development, this secure office building set a high bar for the project. By implementing sustainable design practices and Performance-Driven Design℠ initiatives, CallisonRTKL designed the interiors to achieve LEED Platinum and the shell and core to LEED Gold standards. The designers set out to create “a government office building that doesn’t look like one” by balancing the austerity of a government workplace with the goals of a high-technology, research-focused organization.
