A vision of tomorrow
Restaurants are all about community, but small sub-kitchens in the 5-star InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel’s Asian Live broke up the flow between spaces and decreased operational efficiency. Asian Live aspired to Asia’s vision of tomorrow—one in which people from around the globe travel, work and eat together. CallisonRTKL created a modern fine dining experience that promotes communal dining in an open space that still feels private and intimate.
By reducing the space used for private dining rooms, CRTKL increased the level of transparency and visibility in the restaurant, allowing for more efficient movement of employees and guests. Semi-private dining rooms were introduced to satisfy special guest requests while still maintaining a level of public exposure.
