Growing healthcare needs are addressed through new Medical Park.
The Medical Park at Prince Sultan Cultural Centre is based on a tertiary care model that focuses on total wellness of the patient. CallisonRTKL was brought in to help bring this conceptual idea to life, and the design team incorporated these ideas throughout the concept. The layout represents the patient journey and features a main promenade, wellness plaza and a grand canopy that utilizes green design elements. The canopy will serve to create shade and provide a comfortable micro-climate transition between the conditioned spaces. The hospital makes a bold statement that serves to address and acknowledge the role of healthy lifestyle decisions in conjunction with traditional medical care in the path to overall personal and community wellness.
