Incheon International Airport’s duty-free shopping has been rated the best in the world for many years, and as one of the busiest airports in the world, the hub was in need of a retail development strategy to manage the ever-growing number of duty-free shops. The CallisonRTKL team provided retail planning, tenant design guidelines and review, and enhanced the design of the airport’s public space. Additionally, CallisonRTKL designed sculptural, digital icons that visually anchor the retail districts while creating memorable shopping experiences for travelers.
