Lone Star Court
Inspired by the architecture and atmosphere of Texas Hill Country, the CRTKL-designed Lone Star Court Hotel in Austin is part of Valencia’s new brand of boutique hotels that aims to capture the distinctive character of each location.
Lone Star Court references the classic motor court hotel, but instead of guests walking from their cars straight up to their rooms, the design encourages people to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Double-pitch roofs, deep porches and outdoor courtyards are part of the Texas ranch aesthetic and native landscaping perfectly fits the terrain. Featuring 123 retro-inspired rooms and a design scheme focused on local materials, the hotel is in line with one of the biggest trends in hospitality and urban design—creating a hotel that is also a community asset with a public park accessible to guests and area residents.
