Figueroa Centre
CallisonRTKL designed a world-class, urban development that reflects the pulse of Los Angeles’ emergent downtown.
A new thread in the city’s urban fabric, Figueroa Centre promotes the City’s goals of increasing hotel room supply to support the Convention Center. Five floors of retail, food and beverage and conference facilities act as the project’s face on Figueroa Street, creating an active front door and streetscape. A dramatic 10-storey glass atrium not only creates an inviting pedestrian experience but activates the public realm along Figueroa Street. Simple, well-proportioned stonework frame large panes of glass on these lower floors, reflecting and contrasting with the elegant, 975-foot glass tower above. Luxurious guestrooms and amenities are housed above, while the branded residences are contained within a separate stack with dedicated elevators opening directly into each unit.
