UKAA’s Build-to-Rent Festival Features CRTKL’s Bill Kwon and The Wullcomb

Announcement | November 17, 2020

LONDON, England — November 16, 2020 — The eSports and gaming markets have grown exponentially in recent years– particularly among the target demographic for BTR schemes. The immersive experience they provide is already having an influence on the design of buildings, so what does the future hold for the design of physical space vs the virtual?

CallisonRTKL (CRTKL)’s Bill Kwon, Vice President of Information Technology and Digital Transformation, will discuss with Savills’ Nicky Wightman, Director of Global Occupier Trends at this year’s Built to Rent (BTR) Festival hosted by UKAA.

The pair will explore the rise of gaming and discuss how it is blending real estate sectors and blurring the lines between physical and digital spaces more than ever before in this session: eSports, gaming and the lessons to be learned at 11:30 (GMT) on Tuesday 17th November.

Those interested can register to attend here.

Also featuring in this year’s line-up is a virtual tour of The Wullcomb, with CRTKL offering a behind the scenes look at its BTR development in Leicester. Since its completion in 2019, The Wullcomb has been recognised by the FX International Design Awards as a best in class example of BTR development and received the highest resident reviews and ratings on Homeviews. Tune in as the creative minds behind the project virtually tour the audience through the scheme from render-to-reality and open up in a live Q&A from 9am (GMT) on Thursday 19th November.

UKAA’s BTR Festival is a virtual week-long event, running from 16th – 20th November 2020, for tickets and further information visit: https://www.ukaa.org.uk/event/ukaa-festivalofbtr/
