The 2018 Renowned Cultural Town Exhibition and Conference: CRTKL’s Richard Huang Showcases Our High-profile, Small-town Developments in China

Announcement | October 12, 2018

DALLAS – October 12, 2018 – CallisonRTKL’s distinctive planning and design was on full display at the 2018 Renowned Cultural Town Exhibition and Conference (RCTE). The event, held in the historic Chinese town of Anren near Chengdu from September 26 to October 7, 2018, was hosted by the Chinese Culture Promotion Society, co-hosted by the Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) Corporation.

The conference focused on examining current issues in planning and design, as well as exploring new directions for small-town development from both domestic and international perspectives. This year’s theme, “Distinct Cultural Towns in the New Era,” featured design experts, industry leaders and journalists discussing how to contribute to the development of unique cultural towns within China’s vigorous urbanization. Vice President Richard Huang from the Dallas office presented CRTKL’s high-profile, small-town OCT Beijing Zhaitang and the Ming Cultural Town developments.

Over the last few years, CRTKL has contributed to the growth of the OCT cultural, entertainment and tourism industries. As an initial member of the OCT Alliance of Planning and Design, the firm works closely with the OCT Innovation and Research Institute (then OCT Tourism Planning Consulting Company) and many other OCT regional entities to provide a range of planning and design consulting services.
