SEATTLE, WA – March 5, 2019 – CallisonRTKL and Petco received a Spectrum Award in Service Retail from design:retail magazine for their first-of-a-kind store experience, PetCoach. The San Marcos, CA store combines the best of brick-and-mortar retail and online convenience.
“What began as a request for a concierge desk in Petco’s existing stores turned into the complete transformation of the in-store and online experience, creating a completely new service-oriented concept” says design:retail.
The Spectrum Awards judges projects on excellence in design and/or architecture, new innovations not seen before, not-seen-before experiential concepts or new directions, brand integrity and aesthetic, forward-thinking concept or layout, integration of digital in the brick-and-mortar space and how the design impacts the overall in-store customer experience/journey.
