November 2017—CallisonRTKL in partnership with Porsche Germany, Porsche China and the Jebsen Group—one of the largest Porsche dealers in the world—celebrated the grand opening of the first Porsche Studio in China.
The 460-SM site located at the popular Parc Central in the Nobel shopping center is a smaller, more personal luxury dealership experience. The Porsche Digital Showroom features multiple media walls and interactive displays to provide an immersive environment for Porsche products and sports car culture.
Customers can obtain a PDS E-coupon via WeChat for use at a new-concept, wall-mounted “shop-in-shop,” which houses LED screens between displays of Porsche merchandise and accessories. Visitors can also view Porsche Art in Motion, a temporary display of painted wood slats that mimics the silhouette of a Porsche and explores the Porsche brand heritage though mixed-reality technology.
Furthermore, Porsche customers, fans and enthusiasts can explore the full Porsche model range with the Augmented Reality Cabinet. This futuristic-sounding attraction allows customers to use an iPad to select colors and custom features, then slide the iPad over car models that will then appear with those features.

“Visitors can engage with the Porsche brand through digital displays and multimedia walls in a relaxed, modern environment.”
