J. Scott Hughes, AIA Joins CallisonRTKL in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. — May 15, 2020 — Global architecture, planning and design firm CallisonRTKL welcomes J. Scott Hughes AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C to its Tampa office where he will be a senior associate in the Healthcare practice area. With more than 20 years of experience in architecture, Scott will be responsible for project management and client relations for healthcare, science and technology, and commercial clients.

“Scott has a reputation for delivering large, complex, high-profile projects,” says Dan Freed, CallisonRTKL vice president. “His expertise in technology and healthcare architecture is second to none. We are delighted he is joining the team in our new Tampa office.”

Scott is a specialist in facilitating project coordination and documentation within Revit Architecture, and implementing BIM integration and buildingSmart concepts into projects. He will also oversee programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration in the Tampa office.

Scotts’ previous projects include Jackson Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital in Miami, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Research and Education Building in St. Petersburg, University of South Florida Interdisciplinary Science Teaching and Research Building in Tampa, and SRI International Research Facility in St. Petersburg. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Penn State University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as well as AIA Florida and AIA Tampa.
