DALLAS, Texas – September 29, 2020 – CallisonRTKL will serve as a silver sponsor for the AIA Dallas Women in Architecture EMPOWERING Conference on Friday, October 2nd. The EMPOWERING Conference is a full day to inspire and encourage women in the design industry and community. This year, the conference will operate virtually.
CRTKL’s Aarohi Pilankar, Associate Vice President in the retail and entertainment sector, will co-chair the event. Aarohi Pilankar is an Associate Vice President in the CallisonRTKL Dallas office with over 12 years of industry experience working on the planning, design and management of mixed-use projects and office buildings with the US, South America and the Middle East. Aarohi is committed to delivering projects of the highest quality, by understanding client goals and expectations and leading a collaborative design team to deliver the results. She is constantly striving to bridge the gap between maintaining a high level of design and the financial restrictions on a commercial project. Passionate about mentoring young professionals, Aarohi is active, in and outside the office as a respected leader/mentor.
CRTKL’s Katie Sprague, Senior Vice President in the retail and entertainment sector, will speak on the Happiness by Design initiative. Katie is the global leader of CallisonRTKL’s Environments Studio — a group that specializes in the creation of branded environments. As a brand strategist, she brings a human-centric focus to all her projects, complementing CallisonRTKL’s architectural process with components of experience design. Her current passion is an initiative called “Happiness By Design,” a methodology to measure and apply happiness in the built environment. Now more than ever, her hope is to bring a little more happiness to all her work.
