Cindi Kato, CallisonRTKL vice president and global retail business development director, was elected to the Shop! Board of Directors at their annual meeting earlier this month.
As a 35-year veteran of the design industry, Kato has managed retail, hospitality, restaurant, healthcare and banking projects across the United States and abroad. In addition to her new role at Shop!, Kato is a member of the Advisory Board for Washington State University’s Department of Interior Design + Construction, sits on the Executive Board in charge of Fundraising for the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE), is the secretary for the Shop! Women’s League Committee, and is a member of the Retail Design Institute (RDI).
Kato creates collaborative relationships between her clients and the project team. Her strong leadership skills promote trust and a shared vision. Her approach is informed by her experience in resorts and hotels, helping her bring fresh ideas to retail design.
