Announcement | November 26, 2019

TAMPA, FL – November 26, 2019 — CallisonRTKL, a global architecture, design and planning practice, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Tampa to better serve the growing market in Central Florida. To open the new office, CRTKL welcomes the addition of Lori Armstrong and Ryan Daniels to the firm as senior associates, bringing a collective 30 years of experience to the global healthcare practice.

“The best way to serve our clients and positively affect our communities is by having boots on the ground,” shares Jim Henry, Senior Vice President and Healthcare Practice Leader, CRTKL.  “We are excited to bring our global perspective and understanding of consumer behavior to the growing Florida market and the Southeast.”

Lori Armstrong joins the firm with 15 years of experience in leading extensive design teams planning and construction documentation for notable Florida healthcare pioneers like Johns Hopkins, Jackson Health, Advent Health and BayCare. Armstrong earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Philadelphia University, where she also earned her CIDA Accredited Business minor.

“Lori is a proven leader, serving healthcare clients in the central Florida market over the past eight years.  To her new role she brings a passion for elevating the human experience and an aptitude for understanding what drives our clients’ business. She inspires her teams and clients, which is demonstrated by the trust and long-standing relationships she has built,” adds Henry.

“My passion is creating interiors that ease the patient journey throughout the healing process,” shares Lori Armstrong, Senior Associate, CRTKL. “The design and relationship building skills I have developed throughout my career allow me to understand our clients’ goals and address their current pain points.”

Ryan Daniels brings to his new role over 15 years of proven leadership in architecture and design within various market sectors including healthcare, education, mixed-use, housing, commercial and retail. He served on the Board of Directors for AIA St. Louis and for AIA Missouri before relocating to Tampa. Among his many design achievements, his work has been featured in Salon Today and Architectural Record. Daniels earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Design Arts from Drury University. His commitment to mentorship will help grow the firm’s talented team in central Florida.

“Ryan is a passionate architect who seeks to elevate design and innovation in everything he does,” shares Henry. “That energy, coupled with his dedication for excellence, is contagious and brings value to our clients, who expect our very best on every project,” Henry continues.

“Design, innovation and technology are my passions and the driving forces to create built environments where people interact, live, work, play, shop, heal and educate,” shares Ryan Daniels, Senior Associate, CRTKL. “The impressionable experience we provide through quality design is more important than ever before, and building a culture of empowerment, supported through mentorship, is at the forefront of a successful design practice.”

“These two strategic hires represent the next generation of healthcare design leadership in the Florida market and I cannot wait to see how Lori and Ryan execute their vision to make the world a better—and healthier—place to live,” adds Henry.
