CallisonRTKL’s Dubai Office Open House Showcases New Projects and Technologies
DUBAI – October 21, 2018 – CallisonRTKL recently hosted an open house in the Dubai office at Burj Al Salaam Tower at Trade Centre 1. The reception included clients from China, the UAE and Los Angeles, including CIMC and Intercontinental Hotel Group and hospitality investors, providing a platform for CallisonRTKL designers to display their latest work, tall building models and design technology
“This event connected us with a diverse group of guests including Middle East and global clients, as well as our colleagues,” says Kenneth Turner, director in CallisonRTKL’s Dubai office. “As CallisonRTKL’s first office in the Middle East, this is where we coordinate our work throughout the region – from new retail centers to luxury resorts and new community plans.”
The highlight of the evening was the popular virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) stations that combined the visual quality of a three-dimensional rendering with the emotive feeling of physically being in a space. The result: visitors had a chance to experience themselves in the designs. Some of these VR and AR projects included The Avenues Riyadh and CIMC.
Additionally, Office Director Matthew Tribe showcased the Dubai Creek Harbour master plan which will be one of the largest developments in the city and the largest walkable community.
