CallisonRTKL CEO Kelly Farrell Discusses the Post-Pandemic Workplace with Metropolis Forum

Announcement | May 12, 2020

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – May 12, 2020 – CallisonRTKL President and CEO Kelly Farrell AIA, NCARB, LEED AP,  joined a roundtable of AEC industry leaders to discuss the future of the workplace in a post-pandemic world for Metropolis Magazine’s live stream event – “Returning to a Better Workplace.”

“We’ve already faced ‘The Great Experiment’ of an entirely remote workforce,” says Kelly. “Now, we can see, some roles and some individuals adapt more readily to this than others. This is why flexibility must be personal, and employees must be empowered to make the decisions that are best for themselves and their families.”

CallisonRTKL’s workspace projects are known for their agility and flexibility. The team works closely with clients on customizable furniture, group and individual workspaces and sustainable energy options. The next step is to translate beyond the physical to the cultural. Kelly predicts:

  • A permanent increase in remote workers
  • Fewer private offices
  • An increase in collaborative workspaces
  • Designs that are more hygienic and easier to clean
