The last few months have shown society’s ability to make enormous change. At the same time, it has highlighted the world’s unequal justice and socio-economic disparities – which have undoubtedly reinforced the need for more systemic changes. The horrendous events we have come to experience in a startlingly normal cadence, are not acceptable.
To our Black colleagues, friends, fellow citizens, and clients – we stand with you, we mourn with you, and we will make change.
Change takes movement from all parts of the system, including those who design built environments. We call on our partners and colleagues to join us in our mission to design for a more just world. Now more than ever, it is time to listen, engage, and activate our global network for positive substantive change.
