As Shanghai grows and modernizes, cultural elements of the past get pushed to the side. CRTKL was asked to bring the charm of Xintiandi neighborhood back to life, and the Hubindao Shopping center was born.
“We introduced a modern food hall that continues the street food culture of the past. Our goal was to make it feel like the food hall already had a life the first day it opened,” says Yuwen Peng, associate vice president.
