New Vice President will be based in DC and focus on the public sector’s changing landscape
CallisonRTKL, the global architecture and design practice, welcomes Peter Marcin as public sector leader and vice president of the federal team. Marcin will focus on growing the firm’s already substantial federal workplace portfolio from the inside out.
Marcin joins CallisonRTKL after more than 20 years of working in government real estate. His expertise goes beyond architecture to include construction management, law and business strategy. He founded the Transwestern Government Services Division (TWGSD) and built the practice group from the ground up while securing government contracts throughout the United States and Europe.
“Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. We see a lot of potential in the federal market, and he’s the right fit to spearhead the team,” said Kelly Farrell, executive vice president of the firm’s workplace practice group.
Prior to TWGSD, Marcin was executive director and head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Federal Practice Group where he secured more government contracts in that time than any other group in the country. His success placed him regularly in the top 10 regional leasing brokers list for the Washington, DC area and top landlord office broker in the United States between 2008-2011.
With a portfolio that includes over 75 million square feet in design-related services for the Federal government, CallisonRTKL has a strong history as a dominant force in providing architecture, design and strategic services for the public sector. The practice is known for such projects as the United States Capitol Visitor Center, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Campus East, the Food and Drug Administration Headquarters, and the Katherine G. Johnson Computational Research Facility.
