Clerestories and Skylights

Clerestories and well-designed skylights are effective strategies for admitting daylight deeper into the building while reducing direct sunlight and glare and maintaining a high level of privacy. When designed appropriately they can also help increase solar gain during the winter inside the building. If the clerestory windows are adjustable, they have the additional benefit of adding cross ventilation to the space.
