CallisonRTKL uses past work to develop a prototype for the future.
Following a long history of successful projects with the U.S. Department of State, the office of Overseas Building Operations asked CallisonRTKL to design a prototype embassy compound customized for small equatorial countries. The concept, known as Standard Secure Mini Compound (SSmC), creates an example of sustainability and fiscal stewardship through design. CallisonRTKL’s design for this LEED Silver prototype is an adaptable model that can be modified to serve countries with a small embassy presence, or as a stand-alone consular service.
