CallisonRTKL’s design for the full-service Vitality Spa and state-of-the-art fitness center, spanning the top-level decks of Royal Caribbean International’s Quantum of the Seas cruise ship, offers guests a space to relax and rejuvenate. The spa features 19 specialty treatment rooms, a full-service hair and nail salon, a lounge, an infrared sauna and a thermal suite. The adjoining terraced fitness center benefits from sweeping ocean views. The design concept was based on the restorative powers of mother Earth, resulting in the use of colors, shapes and patterns derived from mineral formations and healing crystals.
