CallisonRTKL draws on urban planning roots to create a vibrant development in Shanghai.
CallisonRTKL’s third collaboration with one of China’s most prominent real estate developers, Greenland Center, is inspired by Shanghai’s history. Planned with an organic interpretation of the traditional urban grid, a park-like public plaza spans the development. Two class-A office buildings, designed to respond to the growing needs of international companies establishing offices in Shanghai, meet a retail plaza that enlivens the development. Restaurants, entertainment and a below-grade hypermarket round out the mixed-use offerings.
