Downtown Brea Redevelopment Master Plan

CallisonRTKL collaborated with Brea city agencies and the city council to design a 25-acre, mixed-use district with a strong and memorable identity and market flexibility. The district has two main components— the Birch Street Promenade, which emphasizes vertical mixed-use and is geared toward pedestrians, and Brea Boulevard, a major thoroughfare that incorporates additional retail and housing in a horizontal, mixed-use format. CallisonRTKL’s environments studio also developed a new image for Brea that conveys different aspects of the city’s rich heritage and brand. Old and new town icons merge to form connections with local residents and visitors, recapturing Brea’s unique atmosphere.
