AK Plaza Suwon is a landmark, regional mixed-use center for the City of Suwon, a historic city near Seoul. Built above the existing Suwon Railway Station, it is designed to capitalize on the constant flow of commuter traffic. The six-story development, the country’s first-ever vertical mall, includes an Aekyung department store, specialty retail, cineplex, restaurants and cultural center. AK Plaza Suwon is the “civic living room” for the community and a model for future transit-oriented developments in Korea.
