CallisonRTKL Elevates Kelly Farrell to Executive Vice President

The global architecture practice also names four senior vice presidents and eight vice presidents to their leadership team, along with nearly 250 other promotions around the world.

BALTIMORE—April 7, 2017—CallisonRTKL, the global architecture, planning and design firm, has named Kelly Farrell as executive vice president. She has been the global practice group leader for workplace since 2016.

The practice also named Darryl Custer, Paul Dunn and Clay Markham as new senior vice presidents, eight leaders to vice president positions, and announced nearly 250 other global promotions. These leaders bring diverse experience and expertise to CallisonRTKL’s commercial, retail, healthcare and workplace practice groups.

Kelly Farrell AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Executive Vice President, Los Angeles

A natural leader with a strong business sense, Kelly leads CallisonRTKL’s workplace global practice group, responsible for overseeing the firm’s work with corporate and public clients, multi-national corporations and mission critical space users. Kelly has earned a reputation for working closely with her clients to generate design solutions that are responsive, sustainable and pragmatic. Her appointment as Executive Vice President means that she will play an even more important role in defining CallisonRTKL’s future as a design practice.

Darryl Custer AIA, NCARB

Senior Vice President, Hong Kong

With more than 25 years of international and domestic mixed-use design and project management experience, Darryl Custer has an acute understanding of business operations. He works with developers and design teams to lead projects through a coordinated process to ensure the end product reflects the client’s goals and vision. In 2015, Darryl was announced as the emerging region practice group leader for commercial projects in South Asia, and was tasked with overseeing business growth in the region.

Paul Dunn Qualified Architect, BSC (Hons), Dip (Hons), ARB

Senior Vice President, London

Paul Dunn leads CallisonRTKL’s workplace design team in the UK and Europe. Paul has three decades of experience designing commercial office buildings and workplace interiors in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also completed a secondment to CallisonRTKL’s parent company Arcadis to strengthen its workplace offering to multi-national corporations and governments.

Clay Markham AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Senior Vice President, Los Angeles

Clay Markham leads the hospitality sector with a dynamic design and management approach to architecture, interior design and construction management. Through more than 30 years in the industry, Clay has worked extensively on international projects, allowing him to apply diverse market experiences to a variety of project types from single-use environments to large-scale master plans to mixed-use projects. His compelling designs and successful project delivery skills have resulted in award-winning projects for top-tier clients including Marriott, Starwood Hotels and MGM Mirage.

Matthew Tribe

Senior Vice President, Dubai

Matthew Tribe is a lead member of CallisonRTKL’s master planning, urban and landscape design studio. Based in Dubai, he has established an approach to master planning and urban design that delivers solutions derived from detailed analysis, understanding and appreciation of the evolving demands of modern life.

David Asfour AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Vice President, New York

With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, David is part of CallisonRTKL’s New York retail practice group, where he thrives on managing luxury and specialty retail projects. David’s project experience also includes workplace and residential architecture. As an account manager for several prestigious global retail brands, David manages design teams and is instrumental in helping the firm attract new clients.

John Eric Chung AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Vice President, Los Angeles

John Eric Chung is a vice president in CallisonRTKL’s Los Angeles office. His leadership sees project teams through all stages of design for commercial and mixed-use towers, as well as residential and hospitality projects around the globe. John Eric has always had an eye for the aesthetic and spatial aspects of architecture, realizing the importance of function while maintaining high standards for form.

Joanna Gonzalez-Guerra Associate AIA

Vice President, Miami

Joanna is a vice president in CallisonRTKL’s Miami office. As a key player on Miami’s hospitality team, Joanna enjoys crafting memorable spaces that entice guests and serve as a true reflection of the client’s brand. Her portfolio consists of some of the biggest names in the hospitality and cruise ship industry.

Fan Guo

Vice President, Beijing

Fan Guo joined CallisonRTKL in 2002 and has since worked on projects all over the world, with a particular focus on the United States, Asia and the Pacific Rim. Fan’s expertise in commercial, institutional, residential and large-scale design brings her clients a strategic mind and a keen eye for detail, giving them an advantage in a rapidly changing market. Above all, Fan’s design philosophy is based on the idea that architectural design should be timeless, functional and environmentally responsible.

Roy Hague LEED AP

Vice President, Seattle

Roy excels in finding creative solutions for his clients’ challenges while embracing their standards and schedules. As a CallisonRTKL Fellow, he researches global brand management and the link between brand promises and the built environment. He then integrates this understanding into his design process so he can advance projects that exceed customer expectations.

Giselle Leung AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Vice President, Los Angeles

Giselle Leung has a diverse background in architectural design and master planning for retail, residential, hospitality and corporate projects in the Pacific Rim and China. Her familiarity with local customs and fluency in building procedures have contributed to the successful completion of numerous high-profile projects. Giselle is passionate about place-making and ensuring that design fits neatly into its urban context.

John Seely AIA, CSSGB

Vice President, Dallas

John Seely is a vice president in CallisonRTKL’s healthcare practice group. He brings a distinctive approach and style to facility planning and design. John’s 16-year career includes work on over 3 million square feet of commercial facilities and 10 million square feet of healthcare projects. His relevant experience includes more than 30 projects that cover women’s and children’s facilities, hospital master planning, cancer centers, acute-care hospitals, rehabilitation medicine units, surgery, cardiology, and medical office buildings.

Paul Wilmarth

Vice President, Dallas

Paul is a vice president in CallisonRTKL’s Dallas office. His depth of experience crosses multiple sectors, including retail, mixed-use, healthcare, residential and office. Paul provides technical design leadership and in-house quality control for projects and is also active in business development and project management roles. He has worked on some of the firm’s most celebrated projects and is a valued member of the team.
